Support for Hurricane-Damaged Agricultural Structures
Eligible Hurricanes caused significant infrastructure damage across multiple agricultural sectors in Florida. This program provides reimbursement payments to Eligible Producers who suffered damage to agricultural structures and systems that directly support crop production, aquaculture, or livestock.
This Is For
- Florida agricultural producers who own or operate farm structures directly tied to production
- Producers who suffered infrastructure damage from an Eligible Hurricane
- Producers with structures housing crops, aquaculture, or livestock within the last 12 months
- Producers with irrigation systems supporting crops grown within the last 12 months
- Producers whose losses occurred on private farm-use roads, bridges, or production structures
- Producers who can provide evidence of use and damage to agricultural structures
You Can Receive
- Reimbursement for repair, restoration, or replacement of agricultural structures damaged by Eligible Hurricanes
- Eligible expenses reimbursed at 35% of total verified damages
- Maximum reimbursement: up to $525,000 per applicant

Eligible losses may include, but are not limited to:
- Greenhouses
- Poultry houses
- Pole barns
- Irrigation systems (above-ground and immediately-below-surface components)
- Plasticulture
- Citrus Under Protective Screen (CUPS) structures
- Culverts
- Private farm bridges and roads
- Aquaculture infrastructure (such as tanks, docks, breeding houses, and cages)
- Other agricultural structures that directly support production, as approved by FDACS
Losses must have resulted from an Eligible Hurricane in an Eligible County.
Allowable Uses of Funds
Funds must be used to restore, repair, or replace agricultural infrastructure damaged by an Eligible Hurricane.
Allowable uses include:
- Greenhouses
- Poultry houses
- Pole barns
- Irrigation system components (above-ground and immediately below the soil surface)
- Plasticulture
- CUPS structures
- Culverts
- Private farm-use bridges and farm roads
- Aquaculture infrastructure, including tanks, docks, breeding houses, and cages
- Other agriculture-related structures that directly support crop, aquaculture, or livestock production, as approved by FDACS
FDACS will reimburse Eligible Producers for actual costs incurred and paid.
Eligibility Requirements
- The producer must meet the definition of an Eligible Producers under this program
- Eligibility for structures is limited to structures in which there is reasonable evidence that supports that a crop, aquaculture, or livestock were housed in the structure within the 12 months prior to an Eligible Hurricane that caused the damage.
- Eligibility for damaged irrigation systems is limited to above ground features or immediately below the soil surface components, and where evidence is present that a crop was grown under or directly above the structure within 12 months prior to the Eligible Hurricane that caused damage to the irrigation system.
- The following structures are ineligible:
- Equipment buildings
- Repair shops
- Irrigation well pumps
- Irrigation header lines
- Other significant underground irrigation components
- Boats
- Any equipment that is easily movable
- Eligible farm roads and bridges must be private farm-use roads and bridges located within the boundaries of a farm, providing direct access to agricultural production.
Additional Disclosures
This part is structured as an infrastructure loss reimbursement program. Payments will be made for qualifying damage that occurred during an Eligible Hurricane event in the 2023 or 2024 season. Eligible expenses will be reimbursed at 35% of total verified damages, not to exceed $525,000 per applicant.
